Two days ago we started getting Betsy ready to roll. We went through things and took out what we did not think we would need. We moved things around to accommodate new purchases or gifts. (Mike got Bob a great new set of frying pans. They are larger than what we have had so we had to do some rearranging. We also got new wine glasses - beautiful red.) We had a hitch put on the Celica so that we can put a bike rack on it. Now if we want to go somewhere with the bikes, we can. We also bought a new bike rack (out fouth one) that Bob thinks will work better on the Celica and will also work on Betsy. We are still waiting for it to be delivered, so we don't know for sure yet.
Bob realized that it will be cold on the way down to Phoenix and spent some time trying to figure out how to insulate the holding tanks. Then he came to me with the cheap, easy solution - antifreeze! Of course.
Bob's idea of getting Betsy ready is getting the food ready. So he has loaded my laundry folding table with all the food that we have that is on his list. Now I have to figure out how to pack it and put it in betsy. We have four large wire baskets that have worked well, but we never know what is in what basket. So Bob has put on little wire pockets so that I can insert a piece of paper listing the contents. We think that will work better. Hope so.
We also sat down and made our lists of the things that we need to do and that things that we do not want to forget. At this point the lists are long, but I know that they will get done quickly once we really start. I do not want to start on the clothes yet, but that will come soon. We are getting close.
